It snowed when Abbey was just a baby so this is the first "real" time for her to experience SNOW! (Jack spent the night with my sister but he got to play in the snow at their house)Our little snowman. It was a neighborhood effort! :)They look cold, don't they?!

"Well it's funny how the little things in life that mean the mostnot where you live or what you drive or the price tag on your clothesThere's no dollar sign on a piece of mind this I've come to know"Tonight we went to Scott's family's christmas party. It was a lot of fun and it was great to see some family we don't see very often. Family time has always been important to us but now that we have kids of our own we really appreciate that time we have together. I might not have been enthusiastic about going tonight but I'm glad I did. It was important to Scott's mom that we be there and I know I'll be in her shoes one day so...I'm glad we went.I've been in a sappy/emotional mood tonight. I was telling Mandy about a song I heard in the car yesterday - "It won't be like this for long" by Darius Rucker. Oh boy! Talk about cryin' like a baby! I couldn't even get through the first verse without being teary eyed. Anyway, I'm rambling.

Happy Turkey Day

I love the holidays. For some reason, I've been in the cooking mood. Today I made a German Chocolate Pecan Pie - all from scratch...and it looks so good. I can't wait to try it tomorrow. I also made White Trash and squash casserole and a ton of cookies(store bought only because I couldn't find macadamia nuts!) I found a really good recipe for white chocolate macadamia nut cookies but for some reason Walmart and Target were out. I didn't want to make a special trip to Kroger just for nuts. What is on your menu? Anything special?
