Bubba and Toni went snow-tubing today, and Bubba now has a badly broken arm. He accidentally went into someone else's lane and the guy didn't even try to stop. Then when Bubba asked him to get a medic because his arm was broken, he took off running.I just know this New Year is going to get better!

One of my Christmas Dolls. She was the one I had handy to take pictures of. I'll get lots more during the holidays of the others (at least some of the others). Bubba and family won't get to come until spring. Hope you all have a Happy Holiday with those you love most.

Be careful....

If you ever decide to give away the coat off your back to help a poor person, you might want to check your pockets. My brother and sister-in-law who live in Washington were on their way home (from 20 miles away), when they spotted a lady with no coat, trying to keep her sleeves down over her gloveless hands. She said she had two children and was trying to get help. My sister-in-law gave her the wool coat she was wearing as well as her gloves.Later, they discovered their cell phone was in the coat pocket. It was not answered when they called it. That lady was probably quite surprised to hear rings coming from that coat. The phone is now deactivated.

Proud Marine Grandma

After Matthew's battle with a snakebite that left him unable to walk properly for many months and a life flight to the hospital just before graduation last May due to a head injury along with some other pretty serious problems that he has overcome along the way, I am proud to say that our grandson, Matt, is graduating and becoming a new Marine today. He is quite a trooper! To add to the celebration...today is Matt's 20 birthday. There is family there with him today. They had their obstacles to overcome to get there. His Mother and step father had delayed planes. The last delay was unbelievable. Someone with major stomach problems messed up the plane so bad people were having to deboard while it was cleaned. I won't go into details, but it was not good!!! After all was cleaned the guy who was sick rode the plane with them. Bubba, (our son that was in the Marines and was one of the first group to go in when the war with Iraq began) was flying there from Boston and ...
