We went to the Verizon store while in Las Cruces to get my mother & father-in-law new cell phones and for Lara to pick out a new phone as her Christmas present. They said I was due a new phone also ... I knew that ... but told them I would have to wait until the Spring. OF COURSE they brought one out for me to play with (most stores are out of them) and said that if I put it on my account payment wouldn't be due until February ... *DING DING DING* ... birthday! I recorded it with my regular digital camera so it is blurry & pixelated, but I thought you might get a kick out of at least hearing it. Now remember that this is a 50's song, so excuse the reference of "drink" and "cigarettes". They tried to change the words but everything they suggested the teacher said sounded weird. My current supervisor has been one of the best supervisors that I have ever had with this company. He is very nice and "real" ... not like a lot of the other engineers that I have worked with. No offense intended Ted. My husband was a Chemical Engineer and he was very "real". There are some with this company that think they are God's gift to the chemical world. The "youngster" that is going to attempt to take his place is a little wet behind the ears. Then I got to go to lunch with just my four girls to celebrate. Ashley's family birthday dinner was Friday evening, once again with all my kiddos. And then Sunday afternoon Ashley had her Christmas choir concert ... which was so much fun. Sunday evening I once again got to have all my kiddos with me at worship services and we all had dinner together. I am so blessed to have all my kids close by ... I know that it may not always be that way ... but for now I enjoy it so much. 2008-12-15
