When I first became a Christian I met the Anderson's when we attended College Park Church of Christ for a few years and they had two skinny boy's that were just as cute as could be and were alway's so pleasent to be around and now they have grown up to be such fantastic Godly men. Denny & Joyce you both did a great job raising Godly men and anyone that knows your family has learned from you!

They say we are in a recession but you couldn't tell it by this weekend! Last winter it was so tight that I sold all of my hand guns so this year I have been wanting to buy another pistol. I went to the big gun show at the George R. Brown. It was crazy! People were standing in lines over 30 min. just to pay for ammo and over 2 hours to pay for their guns that they purchased. When I had pistols I had a 9mm and a 45 caliber. I wasn't sure witch one I wanted to go back with so I chose a Glock 40 caliber model 23. Maybe he can post a photo. Next step reinstating my conciled hand gun license maybe in Jan. I'm up for suggestions if anyone has a place that they recommend.

I read his post and it really got me to thinking.

Out side of my family memories and the memories that I will always have of her husband witch I will always consider the best friend that I ever had, I have wonderful memories if these two little boy's growing up together. I often think of how they learned how to walk together, they started school together, they learned theit Bible verses at the same time. A memory that I still laugh about is we were at Casa Ole' in Baytown which has the nastiest bathroom in Texas and I took Dustin & Brett to the bathroom when they were about four years old and I had them by the hand and I told them to go to the bathroom and be sure not to touch anything. I was helping Dustin and I looked over at Brett and he looked like he was an olympic champion. He was doing the pommel horse on the urinal. If any one knows his mom you know that she and germs are like oil and vinigar. Just thinking of that made me laugh out loud!

Man I don't do birthdays. to me it is just another day of the week, another week in the year and so on. When you think that you are insignificant in this world out of the blue something happens to totally change everything. I got so many calls and emails that were so unexpected that it has truely helped and changed my attitude. I thank all of you that encourage and care about me even when I need it the most on a day that I useally tend to want to fly past. As we have been studying in class on wen. nights in Matthew 25, we all have talents and what you all have done for me is useing your talents. Thank you all!Remember 4 years ago today our brother Johnny Clark died. Remember our sister Tommye Glynn Clark 713-898-7424 M#. It will mean the world to her.

Some good thoughts from Church on Sunday.

Do you ever feel inadequate? Have you ever felt like God wanted you to do something but you didn't feel like you were qualified to do it? Join the club. You are in good company. Moses and Gideon felt the same way.God spoke to Moses through a burning bush. Think about it. First of all it's God speaking. You would think that he would just automatically believe that what He says is right and true. The Lord also gave him some miraculous signs to demonstrate Himself to him. He turned a rod into a snake and then back again. You would think that would think that would be enough. Not for Moses. Then Moses said to the Lord, Oh my Lord, I am not eloquent neither before nor since you have spoken to your servant but I am slow of speech and slow of toungue. (Exodus 4:10 NKJV). Moses felt so inadequate. He really wanted to say to God, "Send someone else.". His words came out this way: Oh Lord, please send by the hand of whomeever else you may send (Exodus 4:13). God was a b...

A time to reflect.

as most of you know Renee' and the boy's left today for Disney. I didn't want to to be at home alone for a week so me and Hannah (my dog, but don't let her know that she's a dog) hit I-10 west and we are at the deer ranch for 8 day's. I love being here at the ranch. I love the solitude. I love not having to fight traffic. I love that one of my cell phones don't work here. I can sit in a deer stand for hours and think about how I can be a better father, a better husband, a better Christian, and a better friend. Renee' say's that is too long to have to think but that is my type A personality or so I've been told by my (AU) buddy which I miss daily. When Sunday came around I had a choice to go 30 to the west to what we might call a conservative congration where the friendyness is even worse than the preaching but we do consider them a conservative congration or I could go 30 min. to the east to a congration that we would consider it a liberal congration. There the preaching is e...

Yesterday, my oldest son Dustin who is 15 took his first flying lesson and I think he loved it. When he got home he had a smile from ear to ear. I was working out in my field and him and the pilot that he was flying with buzzed us about 30 feet off the ground.
