Let's see...I've done number 154, but not 155. It would be bad if instead of going from a phase to neutral on a 240/415, I went from phase to phase. Ouch!
yeah, 155 is what I do in my leisure time. I will forgive you this time for not adding me to your enourmously huge, long, big, overwhelming friend list. I am a forgiving guy, what can I say.
"...burning sensation results, which will never be forgotten after one has experienced it" ? thanks but i'd rather have something else as an "unforgettable" experience!
Speaking of #154 - I remember being 6 years old. That would have made two of my older brothers 9(Moe) and 10(Jamie) years old. I walked into a room to find them bent over an outlet, screw drivers in hand. I watched as Moe hurried into another room to get to the back side of said outlet. Jamie yelled,"Okay!" At which time Moe proceeded to connect some wires. Next thing I know, (and I can't even type I am laughing so hard) Jamie's eyes got real big. His mouth opened He shook and with jolt was sent across the room landing on his backside! With a wiff of ozone still in the air Moe came back into the room and asked, "Did it work?" My father having heard the ruckus yelled up through the ceiling, "What the h@ll is going on up there?!?!" We were all very quiet for hours in hopes he would not pursue an answer to his query. In reference to #155 we used to stick our tongues on 9-V's. Having three older brothers, this soon became a daring game among them to see who could stand doing it the most. Ahhhh yes, the joys of testosterone poisoning.
I've done both in there respective voltage ranges... the worst is cutting through the hot and common at the same time with a pair of metal cutters and then not thinking and grabing the metal cutters on the other side to pull... it was supposed to be off.
All I'd want is you to be my sweet honey bee.
And if I was a tree growing tall and greeen
All I'd want is you to shade me and be my leaves
All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.
Sweet! I have three different pairs and Erin has several as well. Don Bianan turned me on to them a few years back and they're great! Glad you like them.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!! Somebody remove Missouri from the Big 12 Championship Game and let OU and Texas fight it out. Texas got cheated--it's that simple.
I couldn't agree with you more. Had he gotten the nomination for the Republicans, depending on how the rest of his campaign went and such, I could have definitely considered voting for him. He seems to be one of the only politicians that truly understands what needs to happen to solve these problems.
I will be at Parkway c of C in Corpus ... looks like a far enough distance away from Beeville. I am guessing your parents-in-law to be worship in Beeville ?
EVERGREEN, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say an argument over Saturday's Alabama-LSU football game led to the shooting deaths of a couple at a home in southern Alabama.
Prosecutors identified the victims as Dennis and Donna Smith of Brewton. The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Saturday at the home of Michael Williams in the rural community of Owassa.
Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.
Investigators told the Press-Register newspaper in Mobile that Dennis Smith, an LSU fan, called Williams, an Alabama fan, after Alabama's 27-21 overtime win and an argument ensued.
The Smiths went to Williams' home. Investigators said Smith had a pistol and Williams had a shotgun and fired. Donna Smith was a relative of Williams' girlfriend.
what in the world, people!?? i was pretty ticked at Texas Tech last weekend but i didn't call up the first Red Raider i could think of and drive to his house with a gun.
maybe it's just an SEC thing. more likely, it's an alcohol thing, but the article didn't mention the blood alcohol contents of the parties involved.
we worry about bailouts and republocrats when Americans in the "Bible Belt" are killing each other over a football game.
"Bible Belt states, in contrast, are dominated by fundamentalist Protestant denominations that proclaim the sanctity of marriage but generally don't want to estrange churchgoers who do divorce."
Wow. That is shocking. Kind of like story in Chronicle this morning about an 8 year old who shot and killed his dad and is being charged with "premeditated murder." What is this world coming to?
I wouldn't really suspect it to be a numbers thing, just a lack of courage, and an unwillingness to be severe (which they would see as being "unloving").
In the Bama/LSU situation, one newssource reported that a) one was a former boyfriend of the other's present girlfriend, b) both had guns, and c) "alcohol was involved". What a combination...
i think the divorce rates are higher in the south because people actually get married. the mentality in the north in regards to marriage is a lot different there. like people don't care if they get married and i've had some women from the north tell me they won't change their last names IF they get married...just an interesting thing to think about
Well, as much as folks here in Alabama take football seriously, I think this is an extreme case. I don't think this is a good representation of fans of either Alabama or LSU. These were some nut jobs and not typical Southerners.
I agree about the divorce rate, though. Not just here in the south, but all over the country, divorce is a huge problem.
