I promise! I know it has been a while since I posted, but things have been really busy (as you can imagine). Plus, my mom has been doing a good job of updating everyone. Until I get a chance to post a more detailed post here are some pictures to tide you over :-).
We were thinking how Alissa would probably like it! Looks like you're in for nasty weather today-be careful if you have to get out-seems to have all stayed southeast of us, but it's still cold.
My director and I traded grandbaby stories today. I she walked up to me this morning and said "Well, I'm ready to go back (to the grandbabies' house) how about you?" Yup!
You no it is time to be having your baby soon when your husband tosses the baby wipes down stairs to you ( as requested ) and you cry because you have to get up off the floor to get them.
You gotta love all of the pregnancy hormones! As my daughter told me when I was crying "Mommy, don't be sad! There is nothing to be afraid of" :)
Very ready to not be pregnant anymore! Only 5 more days!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S.
The baby's nursery is done except for the walls being painted, which at this point I could care less about. I feel much better knowing that I am ready for this little girl.
you are SO NOT a whiney baby. i would be resting as much as you can! it's really okay. honestly, it's so cold today i didn't want to get the girls out and Evie had a fever last night of 102. she is better today, but even julie is a little runny in the nose. so, i will get a hold of someone this weekend to bring you guys some dinner, okay? i love you!! can't wait to meet alaina. Hope to come up to the hospital if i can...without the kids!!
I have to say, looking on the bright side of Bob being out of work, It has been nice having him home. He has been a big help in getting things ready for the baby. We have had so much going on lately between me being in school, renovations, and Bob's work life over the past 6 months, that we had NOTHING ready for the baby. Bob has been hard at work moving baby things out of storage, putting furniture together, and helping entertain Alissa while I do things. He has been a big help!! ( I guess I need to go tell him that too :)
Any way, Alaina's clothes, etc.. are finally put away in a dresser in her room, and Alissa's new dresser is safely stowed in her closet when she can't pull all of her clothes out when she should be sleeping :) Now all we NEED to do is put the crib together and put up the Christmas tree!!!
It is getting close folks!!!
Hope everyone has had a good week, and has a good weekend.
I was thinking about how nice it would be for you to have Bob at home. Sometimes things that appear to be bad, turns out for the best. Everything always works out.
So excited about your new little one coming!!
Well, I guess we are actually going to have winter this year! It is now 32 degrees and windy outside. I don't think we will get any snow out of this cold front, but you can sure tell it is December. I figure we will get the ice storm of the century next thursday night since Bob and I have to be at the hospital at 5 in the morning for my c-section. (I almost can't beleive it is next week!!!!)
Which brings me to the next topic...
What do you like to eat when it is cold outside? What is your favorite wintr comfort food?
Mine is Chicken and Dumplings. I just made a big pot for dinner, and it hit the spot! So warm and creamy and just plain comforting! I love winter time!!!
Yum!! Chicken & dumplings sounds great...but we went to Rosa's tonight. I was going to make chili, but your dad took pity on me & my head cold and took me out. Mexican food is good when it's cold too, though! The wind is really blowing hard and it's so cold it just takes your breath away-the wind chill was 21 awhile ago.
I like, and made for dinner, a cross between chicken and dumplings and chicken vegetable soup. It is chicken breast, extra wide egg noodles, frozen mixed vegetables and cream of mushroom soup for thickening. YUM and easy!
