I'm pretty sure my heart stopped this morning...

This morning I was getting ready for work and I grabbed a sweater off the top shelf in my closet and put it on. I was folding down the neck of the sweater and noticed in the mirror that something dropped on the floor behind me. I turned around and a GIANT roach (I'm talking between 2 and 3 inches here) was running toward me. It had been ON my sweater that I had just put ON my body. Oh yeah. I wanted to scream but I couldn't. I ran to the closet as fast as possible to grab the heaviest shoe possible and I squished him good and I flushed him away very quickly. I felt like I had something crawling all over me the whole way to work. UGH!!!! We have GOT to call the landlord and have him get somebody to spray again!!!!!!!!!!!!

I slept SO good last night. But I have noticed that the better I sleep at night the harder it is for me to stay awake on the way to work. It stinks. This morning I had to keep telling myself to keep my eyes open! =\

I love the Christmas season, but I absolutely despise cold weather. I like wearing warm sweaters and sweatshirts, but I HATE being cold. I would like to give a huge "Thank You!" to whoever invented central heat. =)

I'm headed to Mobile this weekend with Erin to see my pal Stacy get married! I am happy for her and I hope she enjoys her big day.

Brandon & I only get Christmas Day off work this year so we will be by ourselves at home that day. We plan on sleeping in, eating some good food, and watching Christmas movies all day! Only getting one day off work stinks, but that's ok because the tickets have been paid for and our room has been booked...5 days after Christmas we are going to DISNEY!!


this_old_man	Start drinking more coffee! I have a cup on the way to work, one when I make my rounds, and one when I get back to my desk and by mid morning the jitters kick in. :)

quincysmom	EWWWWWWWWWWWWW Definitely call the landlord and shake your clothes really good before you put them on. I remember the roaches we had in our first home. The house was an OLD house like yours. We had company one time and a huge roach FLEW to our tv antenna and crawled up and down. Boy was I embarrassed. I won't tell you where the other roaches we had were found. :O

this_old_man	My wife was the same way about spiders when we first married. But we moved to a small house way out in the country and she got over her fear because in her words,"You can't scream 24 hours a day. :) I was awakened by one of those big roaches crawling across my nose and I nearly gave myself a black eye trying to kill it. :) Bengal Roach spray is the best stuff for those kind of roaches.

this_old_man	Yes, all it contains is Boric Acid in a spray form. Keeps killing for weeks. It ain't cheap, but nothing that works is cheap.
this_old_man	Spray it around base boards and under sinks and bottoms of closets and door jams.

I guess it's time to post...I'm tired of looking at the crazy baby mop picture.

Last weekend involved going to see the "Twilight" movie and putting up our Christmas decorations at the house. Yay!

This should be a pretty good week. Only three days of work and lots of food. We are having our Thanksgiving lunch today at work. I get to see mom tomorrow at lunch. Wednesday through Sunday we are visiting Brandon's parents. Saturday we are going to Adam's new house to watch the Iron Bowl (War Eagle!) with friends. Fun times.

rica5219	I felt the same about Twilight. I liked Dr. Cullen, but I think his makeup was a little much. I wish they wouldn't have ruined the meadow scene though. it made me sad. :( and I would have to talk to Ashley about the cat for real. I don't think he allows us to have pets in the duplex. :(

quincysmom	Jud was BMX riding with Seth Kimbrough and another professional rider. He had a wreck but didn't break anything. At first they thought he had broken his jaw but he really bruised it badly. Not a good way to spend his birthday.
