this is actually more like 13.5 cuz im still working on Wizard's First Rule (._.')
Hmmm. This is an encouragement to me. I've got so many books I haven't read yet - if I stick to the Emily Sanford Reading Plan (ESRP), I might actually breeze thru them.
What a great idea! I've been reading the Twilight series. I seriously read Twilight AND Eclipse in one week. Good stuff. I thought they would be stupid but I had so many people tell me that I needed to read them so I did. Very addictiing books.
some of you may know, i've been suffering from an old "injury" for several years. But i have HAD it...
Doctors cannot tell me what it is but here is how i see it:
my left leg was bitten by a spider and that bite somehow got infected or left a scar which is BELOW my skin. The outcome of this spider bite is a raised bump which produces EXTREME pain at any introduction of pressure to it. This "scar" has equaled itself in nerve damage of the surrounding area, where the pain is felt most. i can liken it unto having your leg simultaneously lit on fire and stabbed by several different blades at the same time. It has left me doubled over in pain, crying like a baby, and literally praying to God He give a reason to cut off my leg entirely.
It is very inconvenient and i have learned to hide the pain from my face quite well in public places, not wanting people to worry about me. Now i want people to worry. it has never hurt for so long. today it started hurting at about 10:30 it is 16 hours later and show no signs of disappearing.
The usual time it is around is for a "day" (8 hours or so), typically when it is cold outside or i experience a rapid temperature change (room temperatures are the WORST problem with this, as people like to keep their houses one temperature far different from that outside)
I have had X-rays taken, neurologists confused, family doctors confounded, and asked every nurse i can what i can do about this and no one knows. a heating pad and pain killers are usually my best friend, keeping the bump at a sustained temp and nulling it with the medicine. i do no, however, wish to become addicted to pain pills with how many i usually have to take. I put orajel on the spot to numb half of it, but I am at my wits end.
oh man that sounds painful...do you think, maybe underneath the scar its infected or something and its trying to heal , but because its underneath the scar it cant?
I know how that is.. I still have a hole in my eardrum, and I most definitely have gone through withdrawls from my pain meds. Life feels so much better numbed from that stupid itching aching pain.. Hope you feel better.
I have that same pain when I kneel a certain way, but it's caused by my sciatic nerve. Fortunately, I can move and it goes away in a second. But it literally feels like fire!
