We had a great time last night. After all arrived, we snacked and had game tables going for Yahtzee, Risk, Sequence and Euchre. Later, some of us played Yahtzee Free for All. Around 11:45, we began singing and sang in the New Year while the ball dropped. I thought I would remember which song we sang, but I can't today. I think we sang until around 2, then the kids popped in the first LOTR movie and settled down in the living room for a movie marathon. I think only one lasted through the first movie. At some point, Melody and Heather headed upstairs to bed down and the guys (Nate, Andrew, Ryan, Devon, Jeremy & James) spread out in the living room and family room for the night. Nate had to work today at 1 and the rest have headed to Lafayette to goof around until he gets off and then I think they are going to watch Bedtime Stories.

Ken just reminded me of the song we were singing, "On Zion's Glorious Summit". I do remember thinking at the time, "What a perfect song to be singing the new year in to."

speedy62	Sherri and James are trying to get the living arrangements figured out. I'm not sure what Daddy and Sue are going to see. We mentioned several things. I can't go with them so Daddy is going to have to learn Richmond by himself. Like I would be a lot of help anyway! Yes, I saw that stinkin' game...I think UK is the more talented team but they just seem to get it together.

Why should we be concerned about A/C in the winter?

Because our unit at the building has been stolen! (They steal them for the copper wiring) Just making you all aware that thieves are making the rounds.

Hello all

Our family holiday went well. Gone are the days of making the kids stay in their rooms until we were ready. I got up about 8:30, Ken a few minutes later. We leisurely watched a bit of Fox&Friends while we drank some coffee. We had to check on the boys to see if they were awake yet so we could play our traditional Rudolph song to announce it's time for presents. After the exchanging of gifts, we ate our Christmas waffles and then I got the kitchen cleaned to begin preparing lunch. The Cornish hens turned out pretty good, even though they took longer to cook than the hour that every recipe I checked said it would take.

Later, Kenny came over, followed by Ryan, and we played some games. Ryan stayed the night and he and Andrew are still asleep this morning. Nate had to work at AE at 9:15 this morning, so he was out the door at 8. Hopefully, the crowds won't be too crazy

Now, it's back to the usual daily duties. Have a good one everyone!

spicegirl255	YES! The roads were horrible this morning. Few people made it to work today. We got out at 10:30 and headed into town and made it all right, but some places were still "iffy." It is 36 degrees here now, so everything is melting away.

We use to see this every December on the Bozo Show. Andrew loved that show and watched every Sunday morning before heading to Bible study. Brings back happy memories.
