The bible verse that comes to mind...Romans 8:28
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Anita mentioned I might have met you during our visit last Sunday at Eastside, Baytown?? I seem to remember meeting a Williams... If so, I wish I had known you also were on Pleonast. If not, it is a wonderful excuse to meet you in this manner :) We are in the States for three months before returning to South Africa. Joanne Beckley
everything's fine! i had a couple of seconds to slow down. it didn't come through my windshield or anything. it makes me appreciate being high up in my suburban even more.
I don't think his statement was so meant to be so much of an insult to vets as it was meant to question our freedom. That's what I was asking for opinions on.
This morning when I was feeding the girls breakfast, I took the opportunity to talk about the fruit of the spirit and was telling them I wanted them to learn all nine in the list. Kaitlyn was able to remember five, by the time we finished the discussion. Maybe she can help me teach Lexi. A little while later, they hooked up in a loud tug of war over a box of colored pencils. I just walked in the living room and quietly began to say, "Love, Joy, Peace, Patience,"......they both took their hands off the box of colored pencils and just quietly stood there looking at me. I hope I can soon have them quoting all nine, and I hope it continues to have the same effect on them. They are such sweet girls and they love each other so much....just a little competitive. They are fun to be around.
It will be such a blessing all of their lives to have a Christian grandmother to teach them. I am thankful for the wonderful Christian grandmother that my girls have ... my mother-in-law.
All of my children are competitive! I have 5 strong willed children! HA! They all KNOW the fruits of the Spirit, but it doesn't work that quickly now...HA! They are really good kids, just need a little polishing in some areas :-)
HEY JO!!!!! I am finally on pleonast. I'm still tying to figure it all out. Let the folks know I'm on. Miss you all bunches. I'll be home for Christmas.
Well, a few minutes before 6 a.m., I locked the door behind Artie as he left for another day of work. A few seconds later, he sounds like he is about to beat the door down and I hurry to open it.
He says, "A skunk is after me. I think he wants to play!"
He bravely went back out in a couple of minutes and I guess Mr. Skunk had departed for parts unknown.
I told Artie to take bug spray, just in case, but he said he didn't want to give the skunk a reason to think he should have to
fight back. I guess he was right. In any case, he was brave to
go back out that door! Hope he has a good day at work after such
a traumatic start!!!
