so after a long battle and moving to 2 different hospitals-they figured out what was wrong with maria's mom. it was something so simple i don't know how somebody didn't think of it. she had some sort of pustule growing behind one of her organs that was causing the infection/swelling/not getting better. they're fixing it and all will be well. GOD IS SO GOOD!
lately i've been busy working, spending time with my family and adopted children and avoiding studying for my final on thursday. (speaking of finals i need some prayers :) i'm really nervous about it and am extremely concerned about the final grade....)
don't forget xmas party on saturday-7:30 at our house. come please. if you didn't get an invite come anyway.
almost done xmas shopping. i love shopping and being generous for others. have a good one!
a pustule behind an organ... depending on which organ... i can see how that would go a LONG time without getting noticed. that's not exactly the first thing doctors think of... and i work with a lot of doctors!
Thanks for all the prayers my family really appreciates it.
please keep praying for Maria's mom and their family. she is still in ICU with an infection and they can't figure out what's wrong with her. they're keeping her asleep with morphine and she can't keep any food down(and by food i mean ensure) it's stressful for them and maria told me she didn't feel like celebrating thanksgiving with us at work on tuesday(we're having our own thanksgiving feast..) because she doesn't feel like she has anything to be thankful for. (that made me want to cry) so please keep sending prayers to our Father on their behalf.
I love church and seeing everybody there. it is very encouraging to me.
christmas is coming and i think i have everything that i want to decorate with. i'm really excited to decorate our new home.
thanksgiving is on thursday and GOD has been amazing once again and has overfilled my cup. :)
my grandfather is in the hospital with a broken knee cap. it will take 8-10 weeks to heal and he will probably be in the hospital that whole time. There are some other issues regarding him and his health and I would really appreciate you praying for my family during this time. we need to go see him and take care of some things, but i'm not sure i'll be able to get off work. so pray for that as well. thanks
it was a great sunday. i got to eat lunch with friends, feel smart and help somebody at the same time, and hear 2 great lessons. the first was about marriage and the second was about how we as christians are subject to the government. it was EXCELLENT. some of my favorite points were,
1)our citizenship is in heaven
2)even if we live in a socialist country we can still worship God and bring others to him
3)God has always made things work for his people
4) psalm 2(read it-it's perfect for those who are really angry about the president elect)
i tutored a kid today...i hope i helped but i didn't get a lot of feedback.
i bought us a new trash can at target. along with 2 ornaments(yes i'm starting christmas shopping early) and stuff for my secret santa at work and a stocking hanger for lily.(it's a dog with a sparkly santa hat on...very cute)
3rd annual christmas party december 13th. mark your calendar TODAY! more details to come....
car shopping on tuesday-i may go home with a new car
changing my name on thursday and all that jazz
lily is getting a brother. he's a little over a week old-and we'll get him around christmas. he's part australian shepherd and part lab. he's so tiny right now. he's black with a white tipped tail and a few white spots.(the opposite of lily) we have 2 names picked out. tux (because he's black and white) or orbit (the ex mascot of the astros..surprise surprise) what's your vote?
have a fantastic week. praise God for all His blessings!
