I received this book for Christmas and decided to give it a whirl. It's one of those "Christian Fiction" books but so far has been very interesting, if not thought provoking. This particular paragraph was very interesting to me this morning.
Truman paused. He pulled out his handkerchief and wiped his brow. David's head was hanging, his chin on his chest. "David, look at me," the president said. "David's eye met his. "The words It's not my fault! should never again come from your mouth. The words It's not my fault! have been symbolically written on gravestones of unsuccessful people ever since Eve took her first bite of the apple. Until a person takes responsibility for where he is, there is no basis for moving on. The bad news is that the past was in your hands, but the good news is that the future, my friend, is also in your hands."
Getting past the apple bit and the president bit, I find it interesting.
I need to finish my thank you notes for Christmas and Birthday. In the words of Lynn, if someone can take the time to do something nice for me, I can take the time to write a note to thank them. |

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!
I had one of the best birthdays I've had in a while. So thank you all for that, especially to those of you who joined me in celebrating. I had some of the best cakes ever. Yes, plural. Mom made me one strawberry cake for Sunday then Jennifer made me another strawberry cake yesterday. They are both so, SO good! (And so, SO different!)
I got a Wii for Christmas and a Wii Fit for my birthday. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play with the Wii Fit... I have decided to embark on another childhood tradition. Getting sick! Woo! What fun. I am loving the naps though.
I feel like I had so much to say but now I've forgotten it. Heh. I need a nap. Take care you guys. Double up on your Vit. C. Don't get what's going around. |

Without further ado, My favorite pictures taken by photobooth from the year. I hope you get even a quarter of the laughs I got while taking them :)
"Look mommy! Two Tarsons in the tomputer"
"Haha, I just look FUNNY."
Carson trying to do my dad's magic trick where he puts one finger in his ear and it pushes out the side of his cheek. The toothpaste and "rammer jammers" (pjs) are because we seem to have a nightly ritual when I'm there. They get ready for bed as fast as they can and then we take pictures.
"I'm the sun."
Magic Marshall
'Nuff said. :)
Oh, Cousin Kevin, I adore you!
Kensi and Aunt Paula
"Look! I have no nose."
Cute Reegan
She picked me!
Ha! I don't know what to say about this.
Or this.
One of the teachers I shared a room with at Duncan. I adored her greatly. She grew a ton as a person over the year I was there.
MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL! I want to hear all about it! I want to hear about your traditions, presents, everything!
Because it's my blog, I'm adding on to it. Dad and I watched our Christmas movie tonight. I used a free redbox rental to get Fred Claus. It was all right. It had its funny moments but I think it was almost the typical "I hate Christmas, oh wait, I LOVE Christmas" movie. Best one liner? "Do. Not. Use caps all the time. Okay? Nothing is THAT exciting."
Emily and I witnessed a funny during Bible class tonight with our 2 2 year olds. We were in the middle of the class, either singing, coloring Peter, James, and John, or pulling up nets full of fish when out of nowhere one sweet little girl looks up in a true light bulb moment with a blank look on her face and says "Oh! Cell phone." Then she proceeds to pull a princess cell phone out of her little purse, opens it, pushes a few buttons and starts talking. Ordinarily I would have been more on top of these things but that caught me off guard and I lost it. I wonder where she gets it from.... :) |

I had an intriguing post on things that gross me out such as handkerchiefs and bobbing for apples and then I changed my mind.
Instead how about I start a post on my favorite pictures of the year? I hope that'll suffice.
MARSHALL!
Parker talking to Aunt Candy
Marshall again
Carson jumping on the pillows
Faith and Mrs. Daye at our pool for a party.
Rachel and I
Rachel, Blake, and moi
The relationship may be over but it was still the most anticipated day of the year. And this is still one of my favorites. So, deal. Hah.
It was cold. It makes me laugh.
Never underestimate Cousin Megan's strength.
I stinking LOVE THESE GIRLS!
Okay, that's enough of this year's favorites. Here's a few random ones just for giggles.
I'm in the red. I had the COOLEST dress-up box EVER.
Tree licker
The end. Carry on!
Merry Christmas y'all!
